About Us

We are a team of enthusiastic scientists committed to providing an informative and stimulating learning environment for our course participants. We strongly support recent moves to improve the quality of qPCR data and have designed our courses to comply with MIQE guidelines published in 2009. We have previously run courses for the BBSRC Molecular Training for Industry programme, King's College graduate school and The Physiological Society. In all we have trained over 600 scientists in quantitative real-time PCR. We are also available for consultation and for contract research work involving qPCR.

qStandard is a Partnership between Dr Patricia de Winter and Dr David Sugden. David Sugden acts a Consultant for qStandard and is a Reader at King's College London. Patricia de Winter manages all aspects of qStandard and is a post-doctoral researcher and data manager at University College London and a Sessional Lecturer at Birkbeck, University of London. We are assisted by two experienced postgraduate demonstrators.
